  3. Geography • Turkey is located in Middle East • Three sides of Turkey are surrounded by Black sea, Mediterranean sea and Aegean sea • It is like a bridge between Asia and Europe

  5. Size Population • 72.561.312 people and nearly 17 million people live in Istanbul 302535 square miles Smaller than America (more than 12.5 times)

  6. National currency • Turkish Lira (TL) • $1 = 1,4 TL.

  7. Religion • The majority is Muslim • Turkish and we use Latin or Roman Alphabet • In addition, Turkish Alphabet has “ ı, ö, ü, ş, ğ, ç ’’. Language

  8. Capital City • Ankara • It is located in the middle of Turkey • Nearly 8 million people

  9. The biggest city is Istanbul Nearly 17 million people
