  2. Odyssey • Electronic document delivery software created by Atlas Systems • Fully integrated with ILLiad (in 2000) but also available as a free standalone system • Easy to use • Documentation available

Odyssey – a few features • Allows sending and receiving of electronic documents • To other Odyssey sites, ILLiad sites, other vendor’s software that supports the Odyssey protocol • Seamless desktop delivery to patrons • “Trusted Sender” allows incoming Odyssey documents to be sent directly to the patron's Web account without staff review • Supports scanning in color or b/w • Automatic conversion of incoming files to PDF

UMBC (MUB) • Using ILLiad and Odyssey since 2003 • Over 81,000 borrowing articles requests filled & delivered through Odyssey • Over 36,700 lending articles sent through Odyssey • Over 8600 document delivery articles delivered through Odyssey (since Feb. 2008) • All incoming borrowing articles are processed & sent through Odyssey (incl. Ariel, Article Exchange, fax, mail)
