Human activity produces millions of tons of waste. They are very different :

S.I.W : Special Industrial Waste

Waste : déchets

Vital function :

ex: respiratory,heart..

A toxic substance causes desorders of vital function.

S.I.W come from chemicals, steal metallurgy, smelting works industries.

There is : -organic waste

-inorganic waste

-solid mineral waste

Toxic waste can be:

-chemicals of laboratory

-photographic baths

-painting, glues, vernish…
