  1. Changes for 2009-2011

  2. Jump Combinations In Jump combinations the base values of the jumps included will be multiplied by 1.1.

  3. Bonus The Bonus will be deleted as it was never used up to now.

  4. Costume and prop The deductions for costume and prop violations will be 3.0 per violation.

  5. Fresh start Deduction 2.0 for the fresh start will not be applied as as this seems a too big pressure on the Referees; the Judges however will be advised that a fresh start might negatively influence the Components scores.

  6. Half-loop Half-loop when used in combinations/sequences is considered as a listed jump with the Value of a Loop. The unit of any jump landed backward outside + half-loop + Sachow/Flip will be considered as a jump combo of 3 jumps.

  7. Concluding revs In spins in one position and flying spins the concluding upright position at the end of the spin is not considered to be another position independent of the number of revs, as long as in such a final position no Level feature is executed (change of edge, variation of position etc.).

  8. No of elements SP Short Programs in Singles and Sr & Jr will consist of 7 elements (with the time not more than 2. 50): Men Sr. & Jr. - only 1 Step Sequence, Ladies Sr. & Jr. - no Spiral Sequence, Pairs Sr. & Jr. - one year Solo and one year Pair Spin Combo starting with Solo in 2010-2011.

  9. Elements SP Senior Ladies can have 2A or 3A in their Short Programs, Senior Men can have 2 differentquads in their Short Programs.

  10. Elements SP In Senior Men Short Programs Flying Spin and Spin in one position must be in different positions.

  11. Elements SP Though a spiral sequence is no longer an element of the Ladies and Pairs Short Program, the execution of Spirals will be rewarded in “Transitions”.

  12. 2A in FS Double Axel cannot be included more than 2 times in total in a Single’s Free Program (as a Solo Jump or a part of Combination/Sequence).

  13. Second Step Seq. FS For Senior Men the second (in the order of execution) step sequence of the Free Program will always be awarded a fixed Base Value of 2.0 points and evaluated by Judges in GOE only. This sequence can have any pattern while fully utilizing the ice surface.

  14. Spirals Sr. Ladies FS In Sr. Ladies Free Program the Spiral Sequence must have at least 2 spiral positions not less than 3 sec. long each or only 1 spiral position not less than 6 sec. long. The Spiral Sequence will always be awarded a fixed Base Value of 2.0 points and evaluated in GOE only.

  15. Steps Pairs SP Short Program of Senior and Junior Pairs every season will include a Step Sequence.

  16. Spirals Pairs FS The Spiral Sequence every season will be included in Senior and Junior Pairs Free Skating. This sequence must have at least 2 spiral positions not less than 3 seconds long each.

  17. Jump Combo Pairs The Jump Combination for Pairs can consist of 2 or 3 jumps.

  18. Illegal If there is an illegal movement during the execution of any element, the deduction for an illegal movement will apply and the element will receive Level 1 if the requirements for at least Level 1 are fulfilled. Otherwise the element will have no Level.

  19. Death Spiral For Seniors the Death Spiral of Free Skating must be of a different type than the Death Spiral of the Short Program.
