Geography • bordered by…..to the south and the north-west • 80% population – 150-km belt from the US-Canadian border • sourthern part – forests • northern part – tundra • west coast – mountains • rich water system – rivers, lakes • divided into 10 provincies and 3 territories • continental and polar climate • natural environment for different animal spieces • the beaver – the Canadian national symbol

People • multicultural country • mixture of different cultures-ethnic minorities • immigrants from all over the world • 60 different languages • English and French official languages • dual nationality – „ double-yolked egg“ • every sign, label, notice in both languages • 2% Inuits and Indians – own culture • 80% people live in the southern belt
