  1. How to Register and Use HIREAMAVERICK DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

What is HIREAMAVERICKand Why Should I Use It? • HIREAMAVERICK is UT Arlington Career Center’s online jobs database • Employers recruiting UT Arlington students post jobs and internships in the system • These are employers specifically seeking you – UT Arlington students! • When applying to jobs using the database you’re only competing with fellow students and not thousands of students from all across the area • The On-Campus Interview (OCI) program is run through this system • Access a list of upcoming career events including job fairs and workshops

  3. How Can I Get Started? • Complete your profile and upload a resume • Through completion of your profile you’ll set up your username and password • Once your profile is completed, and a resume uploaded, please allow 1 business day for approval • Once approved you’ll be able to log in and use the account • Set up a job search agent • Review the On-Campus Interviews (OCI) schedules • Check upcoming career events

  4. Complete Your Profile Go to https://www.myinterfase.com/uta/student and click on the link “Click here to register!” Complete the Profile Information. All required fields are marked with a red asterisk. Once Profile Information is completed, click on the “Register” button. You are now ready to upload your resume.

  5. Upload Your Resume Use the ”Browse” button to locate the file in your directory The default document name is “Resume”, but you can change it if you prefer. Click “Save” Once account is approved by the Career Center you’re ready to search for jobs

  6. Search for Jobs Now that your profile is complete, and your resume approved, you’re ready to search for jobs Click “Jobs” and enter your search criteria

  7. We now have an “Advanced Search” feature! For Advanced Search, click the “Advanced Search” option next to the green button Fill in the search criteria you would like to use to narrow things down

  8. Advanced Search To search by major click the ”Add/Remove “ button Click the “+” sign next to the appropriate school/college to expand the sub-menu of majors Select the major (s) you wish to search on and click “Save” Click “Search” to see your results

  9. Set up a Saved Search If you’re satisfied that your search pulls the types of jobs you’re looking for, you’ll want to save that search for future use Click “Save Search” to save your search Name your search something that will help you remember the types of jobs it pulls; e.g., Full-time Accounting jobs and click “Save” You can also select “Email me New Jobs for this Search” if you’d like to receive automatic notifications when new jobs are added that meet your search criteria.

  10. Using Saved Searches Once your search is saved it will appear in the left-hand navigation bar Any time you log in you’ll be able to run your saved search by clicking its title

On-Campus Interviews (OCI) Employers choose to recruit at UT Arlington and conduct the interviews on campus, rather than all across the Metroplex Participation in the OCI program is an excellent way for you to connect with companies who are expressly interested in UT Arlington students and alumni To learn more about how to participate visit http://hireamaverick.uta.edu/

On-Campus Interviews To view a list of schedules that you qualify for, hover over “On-Campus Interview Schedules” and then select “Qualified Schedules” This will bring up a list of jobs for which you meet the minimum requirements To review the job description click the “Job ID” If you’d like to apply for this job click “Request Interview” You’ll be prompted to select which resume you’d like to include with your application and then click “Save” If the schedule you’re looking for doesn’t appear under “Qualified Schedules” you can see all schedules by selecting “Future Schedules”. However, you will not be able to request an interview if you don’t qualify.

  13. Check the Calendar Click “Career Events” to access the calendar Enter a date range; e.g., the current semester’s dates and click “Search” The resulting list is a summary of upcoming events Click “Career Event Name” for additional information and to register for that event You can also view upcoming events by clicking on the “Calendar” option in the left navigation bar.

  14. Edit your Profile If you ever need to make changes, you can edit your profile. Once logged in click “My Account”. Click “Edit” in each section to add your information then “Save” your selections. Scroll through each section to ensure your profile is complete. You can also update your resume by going to “My Account” and selecting “My Documents”.
