B. S.M.C. The heat transport system model of the skin was solved by a mathematical analogy between local thermal models and local electrical (charge transport) models¹. The radiofrequency (RF) energy system can be used for skin collagen damage heating the skin and providing significant effect on the collagen-rich dermal tissue directly which makes water molecules in the skin move to and fro wildly. The heat generates and results in contraction of collagen and generation of new collagen and wrinkle renewal. A new technology combination of a novel bipolar radiofrequency with three distinct RF energy (1,8Hz, 1,7H and 2,4Hz) associated with vaccum therapy was created for reducing cellulite appearance as well as promoting skin texture improvement. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the new premier technology known as CORETM (Channeling optimized RF Energy). METHODS Twenty patients with cellulite and skin laxity were submitted to twelve sessions, once a week, with CORETM technology applied in patient S.M.C. in the upper legs; patient L.M. and patient M.E. in upper legs and buttocks; patient C.B. and patient L.T. in abdominal area. Photographic documentation was made both before and after the treatment. Circumferential measurements of the treated area were taken before the first session and during the follow-up visits. After the treatment all patients answered a questionary about the improvement in cellulite, skin texture and reduction of the circumferences. Before After 12 weeks RESULTS Before After 12 weeks L.M. After twelve weeks, patients reported improvement in cellulite (70%), skin texture (80%) and reduction of the circumferences (75%). None of the patients reported any side effects. CONCLUSIONS Many light- and laser-based systems are used to reduce cutaneous wrinkles, and some have been shown to stimulate dermal collagen production³. Treatment by bipolar RF energy and vaccum system aims to contract as well as lesson the visibility to do away with cellulite. In this therapy, mechanically deformed collagenous tissues are thermally shrunk and the stability of the tissue is re-established4. The new technology CORETM showed that the temperature and burn injury distributions5 produces skin thicknesses significantly reducing the cellulite area, circumferences measurements and a better skin texture.
