  4. oThe heir apparent to his father’s cattle business, he was kidnapped by jealous siblings and sold to a Middle Eastern slave ring. But in his new country he eventually emerged as a successful grain futures trader. oAt first a livestock tender like his father, he became the leading military strategist of his time. But his fame was perceived as a threat by the ruling regime, and a series of attempts were made on his life. oAs a beauty queen from minority roots, she turned the head of the head of state. She then took advantage of her new position as the nation’s first lady to fight for her people’s civil rights. oAs a captive in a foreign country, he earned the enemy’s respect and even landed a government job. However, because he resisted cultural assimilation, his xenophobic co-workers had him framed and prosecuted. oHe had the tough assignment of rebuilding a devastated Middle Eastern city. To finish the job he had to overcome sabotage, make night time inspections, and work with an unskilled labour force. oShe was in the luxury textile business, which had an outlet in a major foreign seaport, and helped establish the first church in Europe. oThese mobile living unit manufacturers generously provided gainful employment for an itinerant evangelist. Three times they moved their business to a new city, and each time started a church in their home.  (With thanks to Marketplace Networks, Fall 1989)
