What is the scientific method? • Scientific method are the steps you take to when you conduct an experiment. There are 6 steps • You ask the questions • Do the research • Make a hypothesis • Test the hypothesis with an experiment • Write down the data for conclusion • Record the results
Step one and two • Step one ask questions such as why, when, how, where, who or what to something you have observed. • The question has to be something you can solve. • Step two do research, start looking on the Internet, journals, library to get information .
Step three and four • Step three make a hypothesis. A hypothesis is an educated guess to answer your question. • Step four, test your hypothesis. Create an experiment to test your hypothesis.
stepfive and six • Step 5 write down data for conclusion • It is easier to understand the data if it is put into a table or graph. • Make sure you have all the data. • Step 6 form a conclusion and write down the results • You need to show if your data supports your hypothesis and say
