  2. Learning Goal Teacher’s will understand the focus and purpose of a data wall. In addition, teachers will be able to effectively implement and utilize data walls in their classroom. SCALE

  3. What Is A Data Wall • A means to look at past performance. • A way to identify trends. • A way to plan future assistance for students (Interventions). • A method to share and collaborate with others the strategies that are working for your students.

  4. Why Are Data Walls Important? • Identify specific areas of student needs. • Collaborate with others to share and learn about new strategies. • Share success with team members, school faculty, and students. (Celebrating Success – DQ -1) • Foster mutual responsibility for student success

  5. Why Should We Use Data Walls? • To better serve the individual student needs. • To meet the individual needs of every student. • To stand back and look at the BIG PICTURE.

Constructing A Data Wall Constructing A Good Data Wall Constructing A Good Data Wall Improving Student Achievement 6th Grade Reading My Students’ Intervention Data My Students’ Prior Data Prior Data Observation Intervention Plan Students on average scored below the State average in all areas of the Reading assessment. Students will receive 15 extra minutes of intensive instruction every other day in 2 of their areas of weakness. Each of the teachers in this PLC will target 2 areas of instruction. Students will go to that area each day. Common assessments will be given weekly. Conclusion SMART Goal Mrs. Adlar Chris D., Bobby L., Mike T. Mrs. Peterson Cally M., Btewart K., Monica L., Conrad B., Students will increase their points earned by 25% on the 2010 FCAT Reading Assessment Students are making progress in each area as reported by the common assessments given each week.
