  1. DUA

  2. Dua is conversation with Allah … It is the most uplifting, liberating, empowering, And transforming conversation a person can ever have.

  3. In Islam, du'a is considered to be the most noble act in the sight of God. Muhammad (s.a.v) i s reported to have said "There is nothing more noble in the sight of God than du'a”

  4. Dua is the essence of ibadah. A person engaged in dua affirms his belief in Tawheed (monotheism) and shuns belief in all false gods. With each dua his belief in Allah grows. He beseeches Him, affirming his own powerlessness. A person seriously and sincerely engaged in dua understands exactly the relationship between himself and the Creator and affirms it through his actions. That is the essence of worship! Additionally, such a person can never become arrogant or proud, a logical result of true worship

  5. Why we need Dua? Dua is defined as any invocation or prayer addressed to Allah (SWT). In our times, we find many reasons why people do not make Dua; we forget, don't know how, or just do not think it will be answered. Fundamental to this is the loss of dependence and trust upon Allah! In every difficulty our first action is dua, as is our last. We ask Allah to show us the way to handle that difficulty; we seek His help in following the path He shows to us; we seek His aid in making our efforts successful. “You should continuously engage in dua and firmly believe that Allah is accepting your dua. Allah Ta’ala does not accept the dua of one whose heart is careless.” Hz. Abu Hurairah (r.a.)

  6. Muhammad is reported to have said, "Make du'a to God in a state that you are certain that your du'a will be responded to, and know that God does not respond to a du'a that originates from a negligent, inattentive heart" According to this hadith, a Muslim is instructed to make du'a with a mindful heart. A Muslim should be aware of what he is saying and should believe in his or her heart that their du'a will be responded to by God. The Presence of An Attentive Heart

  7. We can and should make Dua in every condition, i.e. in hardship and in prosperity. There are also some special times to make Dua when it is more likely to be accepted. We should make dua not only for ourselves but also for our parents, brothers and sisters, spouses and children, relatives and friends, teachers and other benefactors, and destitute and struggling Muslims everywhere. We should pray for them for the good in this world as well as in the Hereafter.

  8. Du'a for things that are good In Islam, in order for a person's du'a to be accepted by God, it must be for something pure and good

  9. So when ye have accomplished your holy rites, celebrate the praises of God, as ye used to celebrate the praises of your fathers,- yea, with far more Heart and soul. There are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us (Thy bounties) in this world!" but they will have no portion in the Hereafter. Sure Al-Baqarah ayat; 200

  10. We should make dua at all times, not only during times of distress. The Prophet Muhammad said: "Whosoever desires that Allah answers his duas in unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua in days of ease and comfort." Also he said: "The person who does not ask from Allah, Allah becomes angry with him."

  11. Through Dua, we strengthen our Imaan And our relationship with Allah, as well as heighten our awareness of cause and effect that can help inspire and motivate us to be closer to Islam in our lives.
