  1. How to learn Sycoraxic Lesson One: An Introduction to the language and the Culture Hello How are you? What is your name? etc.

  2. Who is the Fadros Pallujikaa? The Fadros Pallujikaa is the leader of the Sycorax. It literally means Our Leader or sometimes Special Leader. If you wish to refer to a leader of something which is not a Sycoraxic fleet but leads people, you must use the term ‘Pablos Pallujikaa’ which just means Tribal Leader. An ordinary leader is Pallujikaa.

  3. Onto some introduction phrases.

  4. Padscal Hello Pronounced: pudskul To say Hello in Sycoraxic, you sayPadscal, which literally means ‘We welcome each other’. However, if you are speaking to theFadros Pallujikaaor someone important, you would sayPadskaa as it is more polite.

  5. When do you use Padscal and when do you use Padscaa? PADSCAL When talking to someone of your own level, e.g. a friend or wife. When talking to a roommate or someone you share a living space with. When talking to someone below you in status, e.g. the Fadros Pallujikaa talking to a common Sycorax warrior. PADSCAA When talking to someone who you have never met. When talking to any form of Pallujikaa, especially the Fadros Pallujikaa, even if you are acquainted. When welcoming someone to your home, even if they live there, e.g. to a wife, a friend, etc.

  6. Padsavass Thank you Pronounced: pudzuvus Thank you in Sycoraxic is Padsavas which literally means ‘You go well’. This is because in Sycoraxic, thank you is an adaptable word and “vaan” is the generic verb. For example, if you wanted to thank someone for speaking (guffaan), then you would instead say Padsaguffass.

  7. What is meant by ‘adaptable word’? The word ‘thank you’ in Sycoraxic depends on what you’re being thanked for. For example: going Thank you for (to the shops, etc.) =padsa vaan vass OR Thank you for (at a wedding, etc.) speaking =padsa guffaan guffass

  8. Soo padsa? How are you? Pronounced: soo pudsuh To ask if someone is well is usually disregarded by the Sycorax but due to its common usage on Earth, I have provided an appropriate translation. Soo padsa literally means “Are you well?” Remember that this is not common so avoid it unless it is necessary.

  9. How would you reply to Soo padsa? ----------------------
