Setelah Yerusalemjatuhketangan Islam, pasukanSalibsegeramelancarkanseranganbalasan, mengepungkota Acre, dan mengalahkanpasukan Salahuddin.

  4. Merebut al-Aqsha 2 Oktober 1187 M, Umat Islam berhasilmerebutkembali Baitul Maqdis dan mengembalikanfungsinyasebagai masjid denganmengumandangkan azan setelahvakumselama 88 tahun, menggantikanloncenggereja.
