  1. CAD Blocks for AutoCAD is a quick and easy way to go from sketching on paper to a fully functional 3D design in minutes. You will discover how to quickly you can make complicated drawings and models with little effort, without the use of bulky design software. Invented by designer Tom Doyle, CAD Blocks for AutoCAD work together with Autodesk software, which is commonly used by architects, engineers, and architects' assistants. You can quickly make complex 3D designs, such as manufacturing documents or architectural drawings. To begin creating your first block, simply turn on your computer and open Autodesk, then click the Block icon in the program window. Then click the Center tab, then drag and drop a block from the list to the block area of your Autodesk workstation. You will see all of the possible tools and tips available to you, including text, an arrow for moving the block along the workbench, and a red dot to place the new block. Once you are finished, select the desired type of block you want to use. You can even use any combination of different blocks. If you need to delete a block, simply click on the red dot and drag the block off of the workbench to the side. You can use this same process with all blocks in Autodesk. You can also reorder your blocks and add more text as you create them. For example, if you create a rectangular piece of paper and plan to use it for something other than drawing, simply drag a rectangle into the top center of the paper, then drag a square into the bottom center. In Autodesk, simply right click on the square and select drag & drop. Text is very important when creating a block, and when you drag and drop text into Autodesk, the software will actually do the typing for you! You can easily add any kind of text to your workbench, including pre-made phrases and script. For instance, you can drag and drop "special order" to add a special price to the sheet. Also, once you have created a block, you can easily change the text size and color of the block and delete or add text. You will have a new piece of software that can be used again, and you will learn quickly how to use these blocks in Autodesk. You can put these blocks onto your workbench in several ways. For example, if you have a large sheet of paper, you could simply place the block on top of the worktable and then just draw on top of the block, moving it around. If you have a template for your block, then you can drag and drop the template into your Autodesk workstation window. The block will appear in the template, and the text on the top and bottom of the block will match up with the template. In Autodesk, it is easy to add text to any block. If you would like to add text to an existing block, you can simply drag and drop your text. You can create lines and then copy and paste the text, or you can just copy and paste the entire block to your Autodesk workstation window. The block is displayed in the template as a single block. If you have not been using Autodesk for some time, and you don't know how to use it, you may want to look into a tutorial for Autodesk. Most Autodesk tutorials are found on the Autodesk website, so you may want to visit the site and look for an Autodesk demo. A few will require your Autodesk license, so check on that before you purchase Autodesk.
