  2. Golias farm • 250 CPUs as WN (published) • mostly HP ProLiant DL 140 2x XEON 3,06 GHz, 2 – 4 GB RAM, 80GB ATA HDD • new: HP blade servers with dual-core Opterons 275 @2.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM – 10 machines, 40 CPU cores • older HP LP1000r 2x PIII 1,13 GHz, 1GB RAM, 18GB SCSI HDD • 40 TB (raw) disk space • 1 Gbps dedicated optical link to CESNET, 1 Gbps link shared • CE, PBSPro, SE: classical + DPM, voboxes (ALICE, ATLAS), LFC (ALICE), BDII • gLite installed (plus 1 CE with LCG 2.7) • supported experiments: LHC (ATLAS, ALICE) – 100 CPUs, D0 – 150 CPUs, AUGER, ... • manpower: 5 administrators (with many other duties) Jiri.Chudoba@cern.ch

  3. ATLAS Production jobs (from ATLAS central DB): • 12384 jobs (36 % efficiency) • 2857 days (75 % efficiency) All ATLAS jobs (from local logs), golias and skurut farms: • 82868 jobs (golias 61735 + skurut 21133) • 19381 days (golias 12505 + skurut 6876) = 53 years • corresponds to 57 CPU used continuously Statistics for 1.1. – 11.10.2006 Statistics for 1.1. – 6.12.2006 Jiri.Chudoba@cern.ch

  4. Statistics for Golias farm, 2006 Nr. of ATLAS jobs submitted to Golias CPU equivalent usage – average number of CPUs used continuously Jiri.Chudoba@cern.ch

  5. ATLAS Data Transfers • participation in Service Challenge 4 • data transfers between FZU (Tier2) and FZK (associated Tier1 centre) and between FZU and CERN • up to 50 Mbytes/s from CERN to FZU Jiri.Chudoba@cern.ch

  6. ATLAS Data Transfers • ATLAS Tier0 test (June 2006) • export of data toTier1 sites and then to Tier2 sites • ATLAS Tier0 test 2 (October 2006) Jiri.Chudoba@cern.ch

  7. ATLAS – other computing activities • Contribution to central Distributed Data Operations Team (J. Chudoba; P.Šulc from October) • .4 FTE, increased to .5 FTE since October • Contribution to Production System Operations • 4 students involved + J. Chudoba for coordination • equivalent of .9 FTE • training session during September • junior shifts for jobs and data management during October – December • Data Management within FZK cloud (J.
