  1. Eolic energy *Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Sánchez. *Lucía Yánez Arencibia. *Claudia Sánchez Sánchez..

  2. whAT IS IT? • Its a kinetic energy. • Wind turbines are used to produce eolic energy.

  3. Advantajes • Its a renewable energy • Wind turbines have low cost • High perfomance is achieved • Reduce energy dependency on fossil fuels.

  4. Disadvantajes • Intermittent and random • Difficulstorage • Wind turbines are danger to birds • occupy large tracts of land • generateinterference

  5. Percentages • Spain= 16% powerconsumption • In theworld= aproximate 20%

  6. Coal By: Leandro Domínguez,Pablo Vizcaíno andAndrea Medina.

  7. Consist in: Vegetable remainslikeanthracite,coal,ligniteandpeat.

  8. Advantage: Cheappower and withhightenergypower.

  9. Disadvantage: Very pollution.

  10. % used in theworld: 39 . In Spain: 15

  11. ENERGy MAREMOTRIZ

  12. definition It is the energy that is obtained from tidal movements (sea water)

  13. Advantage: it is a clean energy disadvantages: Is necessary a very expensive Technology Depending of the places the differencesare of meters

  14. by: -Vanessa Déniz -ilenia Quintana - Marta García

  15. OIL

  16. Whatistheoil? • It is the most used energy source. As fuel is more efficient than coal, it has higher calorific

  17. Adventage : • It has an easy obtainment. • It is very useful. • It is a quite effective energy.

  18. Disadventages: • It is very contaminating. • Produces highly toxic substances such as CO2. • Ocean pollution.

  19. David Marrero. • Elisa Falcon. • Irene Santana Ladron de G. THE END

  20. HIDROPOWER

  21. HYDROELECTRIC PLANT IS TO OBTAIN ENERGY FROM THE WATER STORED IN THE DAM.

  22. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES ADVANTAGES: HAVE MINIMUM MAINTENANCE, CLEAN DOES NOT GENERATE WASTE AND HELP CONTROL FLOODS AND PROVIDE WATER FOR AGRICULTURE. DISADVANTAGES: THEY ARE FAR FROM LARGE TOWS AND WATER QUANTITY DEPENDS ON TIME, THE CONSTRUCTION OF RESERVOIS INVOLVES THE FLOODING OF THE DAM.

  23. IN SPAIN, 75% OF THE POPULATION USES THIS ENERGY AS THAT IN THE WORLD ONLY 14%.

  24. END!! MARÍA LUISA SHEILA REBECA

  25. NUCLEAR ENERGY BY: Pablo Rubio Santana, Beatriz Ramirez GarcíaandAarón Josué Travieso Reyes.

  26. NUCLEAR POWER. MAIN POWER: NUCLEAR POWER STATION

  27. MAIN MATERIAL:URANIUM PERCENTAGE USED IN SPAIN: 22% WARNING: DANGEROUS AND HIGHLY RADIOACTIVE. PRODUCES SERIOUS ILLNESS

  28. ADVANTAGES: • PRODUCES: • ELECTRICITY

  29. DISADVANTAGES • OCCUPY NATURAL • CO2 EMISSIONS • NATURAL DISASTERS • WORSENING ENVIRONMENT • NUCLEAR BOMBS

  30. GeothermalEnergy Isaura Tacoronte Irene Santana Hernández Álvaro Sosa Adrián Gene

  31. WHAT IS IT? It is the energy that comes from heat stored in the Earth's interior.

  32. ADVANTAGE • It produces no waste. • It is inexhaustible on a human scale. • In some countries is to restore use it to produce electricity

  33. DRAWBACKS • The location is difficult. • It’s very costly.

  34. IN SPAIN AND IN THE WORLD • With regard to renewable energy: • In Spain: 0.05% is used. • In the world: 0.8% is used

  35. biomass

  36. advantajes • It produce little waste • They are low-polluting • Much of the waste is from human activities

  37. Disadvantages Low efficiency energy • It has big volume (hindering manipulation)

  38. It`s produced: 3 Forms: -agricultural crop -recycling waste -Chemically transforming plants

  39. Natural gas A source of energy

  40. is a mixture of gases

  41. advantage disadvantages The use of natural gas produced many greenhouse gases are damageable by weather• Natural gas is not a renewable energy source.• It is difficult to store natural gas • can replace coal and oil • as heating • as fuel • produces electricity • highcalorific • cleancombustion

  42. All the gas becomes exhausted: Spainspends 21 % of gas In worldspends 56% of gas
