  2. JohnLocke Believed in focusing on reason and logic to determine actions. He also believed that humans had natural rights. He thought that government should be accountable for their people. Also he believed in ownership of private property. John Maynard Keynes He believed that in order to make the recession less of a burden, governments needed to invest money into things like infrastructure or social projects, and reduce taxes. This would leave more money in the peoples pockets that they could put back into the economy. Both of these gentlemen shared the same belief that government should be doing all that they can to keep their people in the best condition possible. Whether that be by investing in the countries infrastructure or by simply doing the right thing for their people. They believed in civil responsibility, private property and individual rights and freedoms.

  3. Tommy Douglas John Stewart Mill He believed that each individual had rights and freedoms. Also, he believed that these rights and freedoms only had limitations if ones actions would hurt another. His ideas relate to classical liberalism under the individual rights and freedoms category. He was the first socialist government in North America. He created the first form of publicly owned automobile insurance. He introduced the bill of Rights in Saskatchewan which was one of Canada's first general laws. He also created Saskatchewan Medicare which was the first universal healthcare programs in Canada. These two men both believed in doing things to better peoples lives. Both devoted their lives to finding how to make life easier for everyone. They believed in the classical liberalism principle of rights and freedoms, and that’s what they dedicated their life to. All of Tommy Douglas’s accomplishments were based around the principle of rights and freedoms.
