CP STREP; IP • Collaborative projects (CP) • Research projects carried out by consortia with participants from different countries, aiming at developing new knowledge, new technology, products, demonstrationactivities. • Small or Medium Scale Focused Research Actions (STREP) • Duration: 8 months – 3 years • Large-scale integrating projects (IP) • Duration: 3 - 5 years • Project budget - up to tens of million • Number of participants – tentatively min 9 Высшая школа экономики, Москва, 2011

NoE; CSA CA, SA • Networks of Excellence (NoE) • Joint Programme of Activities implemented by a number of research • organisations integrating their activities (researchers, services, teams, organisations, institutions) in a field of strategic importance for European research, through the establishment of a single virtual centre of research, carried out by research teams in the framework of longer term co-operation • Coordination and support actions (CSA) • Activities of networking, exchanges, trans-national access to research infrastructures, studies, conferences, etc. • Coordination or networking actions (CA): conferences, meetings, workshops or seminars related studies, exchanges of personnel, exchange and dissemination of good practices • Specific support actions (SA): contribution to the implementation of the Framework Programmes and the preparation of future EU RTD policy Высшая школа экономики, Москва, 2011

CPCSA • Combination of Collaborative Projects and Coordination and Support Actions (CPCSA) • Networking and coordination activities: for public bodies in Europe to cooperate in the innovation of their public services through a strategy that includes Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP.) • Joint research activities: related to validating the PCP strategy jointly defined by the public bodies participating in the action. This includes the exploration, through a joint PCP, of possible solutions for the targeted improvements in public sector services, and the testing of these solutions against a set of jointly defined performance criteria. Evaluation criteria applicable to Collaborative project proposals • S&T QUALITY • Scientific and/or technological excellence (relevant to the topics addressed by the call): • Soundness of concept, and quality of objectives • Progress beyond the state-of-the-art • Quality and effectiveness of the S&T methodology and work plan • IMPLEMENTATION • Quality and efficiency of the implementation and the management • Appropriateness of the management structure and procedures • Quality and relevant experience of the individual participants • Quality of the consortium as a whole (incl. complementarity, balance) • Appropriateness of the allocation and justification of the resources • POTENTIAL IMPACT • Development, dissemination and use of project results • Contribution o the expected impacts listed in the work programme • Measures for the dissemination and/or exploitation of results, and management of intellectual property Высшая школа экономики, Москва, 2011
