  • European Union – EuropeanSocial Fund (85%)

  • Polish state budget (15%)

  • Inclusion of educationalactivities of formalornon-formalcharacter.

  • Involvement of themembers of the Roma community atthestage of theprojectpreparation and implementation.

  • Utilisation of measuresenlistedinthethe national strategy, chapter VII „Measuresaimedattherealisation of theaims of theGovernmental Programme for the Roma Community in Poland”.

  • Declaredresultinemployment of min. 25% of the Roma thatparticipatedintheproject.

  • Partnershipwithorganisationsacting for the benefit of the Roma community.

  • EDUCATION:

  • formal and non-formaleducation activities for Roma children, youths and adults,

  • employment of teachers and Roma educationalassistants to support Roma children’seducation,

  • development of handbooks regarding Romani history and culture.


Health

HEALTH:

  • organisation of “white days” for Roma,

  • employment of social nurses and Roma assistants.

COUNTERACTING UNEMPLOYMENT:

  • Job counselling and employment monitoring,

  • vocational training (upgrading and acquiringnew qualifications),

  • organisation of on-the-jobtraining and subsidized employment.


Roma and civil society

ROMA AND CIVIL SOCIETY:

  • Activitiesaimedat a modification of the Roma mentalityin order to increasethelevel of socialintegration and participationinthe development of civilsociety,

  • Educationalactivitiesinforming Roma abouttheircivilrights and obligations, Polishsocial and politicalrealities, access to pedagogical and psychologicalsupport.


Knowledge about the roma

KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ROMA:

  • Dissemination of informationaboutthe Roma,

  • Promotion of publicationsaboutthe Roma,

  • Regular broadcasting of programmesaboutthe Roma inlocal and nation-wide media,

  • Support of scientific researchrelated to the Roma.


Administration efficiency support

ADMINISTRATION EFFICIENCY SUPPORT

  • Organisation of training and workshops for public employment services, socialassistance services, localgovernments and NGOs,

  • Encouragement of activities of public employment services and localgovernments to enhancejobopportunities for Roma people,

  • Research – evaluation of theimpact and efficiency of differentforms of support.


Subactivity 1 3 1

SUBACTIVITY 1.3.1

  • Implementation of 24 projectswith a value of 15,815,770.74 PLN (around 4 mil EUR)

  • Another 22 projectsqualified for implementation; valuearound 19 mil PLN (around 5 mil EUR)

  • Projectsimplemented and thoseaccepted for implementationdeclaresupport for around 6400 Roma.

  • Project beneficiaries – mainly public authorities and Roma NGOs.
