2. REHAB is a six-month residential substance abuse program offered to Parish inmates who qualify. Inmates are housed at the Work Release Center and attend treatment at the Community Corrections Campus. The program requires that a person be willing to work full-time upon the completion of their initial 30 day orientation period they are also required to attend continued therapy in the evenings. REHAB (Re-entry Housing 4 Addictive Behaviors)

3. DRIOP (Day Reporting Intensive Outpatient Program) A 3-month substance abuse program that meets four times a week (day and evening classes offered). It is a structured and regimented program that operates on a Phase System. Progressing through each phase will determine a client’s length of stay and eligibility to graduate from the program.

5. Milestones In 2009, we incorporated Juvenile mental health and substance abuse services, in an attempt to provide added services to youth offenders. Milestones will offer more diversity and enable us to address a wide range of psychosocial needs beyond substance abuse, but also offering mental health counseling. It is our goal to offer assistance to local schools and agencies in dealing with these issues in an effort to keep them out of the criminal system in the future as well as create a better life for them.

6. Anger Management designed to help inmates learn effective ways of dealing with their anger. Behavior, Emotions, Thinking (B.E.T) helps inmates learn new skills to regulate behavior, emotions, and thinking. The Work of Byron Katie learning to take total responsibility for you thoughts and actions. Grief & Loss designed to help inmates work through personal losses such as death of a loved-one, divorce, loss if children, abuse, or any other grief related issues. 7. Behavioral Evaluation & Counseling Assessments are performed by licensed and trained clinicians with follow-up counseling available. Referrals for medication are made as needed.

10. Track 1 - Assess offender needs and develop re-entry plans for those involved in the correctional system. Inmates must have at least 3 months remaining on sentence and will only be accepted towards the latter part of sentencing. These classes run concurrent with JSEP. Track 2 - Services offenders with less than 3 months on their sentence on an as needed basis. Reentry Programs at LPCC (Options)

11. A 12-week program designed to teach inmates how to get a job and retain a job after they are released.  Topics covered included, but are not limited to: resume writing, interviewing, job searching and skill building. Job Skills Evaluation Program (JSEP)

Treatment Program Challenges • Trying to provide timely treatment to the growing number of mentally ill offenders in jail. • Due to lack of community services, many agencies feel that the jail is a stable place to send a mentally ill person where they will receive treatment. • In most cases, we are only able to provide short-term crisis intervention. However, long-term counseling is needed.
