  1. Why is it Endangered? How Can We Help? Leopards • Leopards are endangered because there has been a decline in their prey due to habitat destruction. Their habits are also in danger. • Farmers trap and poison leopards because they find them a threat to their livestock. • Commercial hunting can be a problem too, many poachers hunt for fun and for fur. • We can help leopards advocating to protect their environments and establishing wildlife areas to keep them away from harm. • Leopards’ habitats are being destroyed and we can help protect them by doing two easy things – recycle and turning off lights when we aren’t using them. • If we recycle, we can decrease the amount of trees being cut down which contributes to their habitats being destroyed. • When electricity is being used, power plants emit harmful pollutants into the atmosphere which pollutes the overall environment. Conserve electricity to help keep their habitats clean. http://flikie.s3.amazonaws.com/ImageStorage/09/0923b4ac3e6849e09963ec9864665b3f.jpg Rachel Martinez
