How people meet their needs • E-mail • Tools they administer themselves • wikis • disciplinary tools with collaboration features • collaboration suites • Video chat and other VC apps • Tools at other institutions • Institutions offering tools (e.g. C-Tools at Michigan) • Tools hosted in collaboration tools

  5. What have I heard? • There are a wide variety of needs and ability to fund tools. • There are some baseline needs that should be available to all researchers • They would be interested in using the same tools in their research, teaching, and service.
