  2. Required High School Curriculum (RHSC): Total Carnegie Units: 17

  3. “Applicants who do not complete all curriculum requirements in the 5 academic subject areas may be eligible for provisional admissioninto Gainesville State College. “ Freshman Index (FI) = 1640 or higher FI = (HS GPA x 500) + SAT Critical Reading + SAT Math OR FI= (HS GPA x 500) + (ACT Composite x 42) + 88

  4. Meet COMPASS testing requirements if standardized test scores are below the following: SAT = Critical Reading: 480 ; Math: 460 ACT = English: 21 ; Math: 19 COMPASS Exam Requirements: All applicants wishing to enroll at Gainesville State College for fall 2012 semester or later who are required to take the COMPASS exam must meet minimum scores. The following minimum scores have been established for admission purposes by the Georgia Board of Regents: Reading: 62 English: 32 Mathematics: 20

  5. “Beginning fall 2012, test scores will be required for all freshman applicants. Students must meet testing requirements before an admission decision can be made. The testing requirement can be satisfied by meeting the minimum scores on one (1) of three (3) tests: Minimum SAT scores (Critical Reading 480; Math 440) Minimum ACT scores (English 20; Math 18) OR REQUIRED Minimum COMPASS Scores: English/ Writing 32 Reading 62 Math 20

  6. Students whose COMPASS scores fall below the minimums in any one of the three areas will NOT be eligible for admission. For Standardized Testing Scores (SAT and ACT) students must complete four (4) years of high school University System of Georgia (USG) Acceptable Math & English courses.” www.admissions.gpc.edu

  7. NOTE: Graduating seniors missing RHSC units and/or deficient in English or Math may consider...… Summer 2012 Admissions: deadline: April 1st.
