  2. A multifaceted social networking site. • It’s not just a social network site, its also a media hosting site that is part chat rooms, part movie theater, and part concert that is open 24 hours a day. • Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson are the founders of myspace and it was made in August 2003.

A 23 year old Mark Zuckerberg made facebook while studying psychology at Harvard University. • In February 2004, Zuckerberg launched “ Facebook” as it was originally known, the name was taken from the sheets of paper and distributed to freshman. • Within 24 hours 1,2oo Harvard students had signed up. • As of September 2006, the network has been extended beyond educational institutions.

It is one of the most popular social networks used today but began as another micro-blogging platform created by programmers who worked the podcasting company Odeo.Inc in San Francisco, California. • Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone had big plans for twitter but didn’t know how popular it would become. • When they first created the site, they were just looking for a way to send text messages on their cell phones and a way to reinvent a somewhat dying company. • It was created March 2006.

  5. Was found by early employees of pay pal. • Their names were Chad Hurley who studied design at Indiana University, Steve Chen studied computer design at the University of Illinois, Jawed Karim studied computer design at University of Illinois. • Was made in 2005.
