  4. What’s so special about neuroscience nursing? Patients with neurological or neurosurgical diseases may have to deal with disturbed vital functions and like no other patient group they suffer from a mix of sensomotory, cognitive and psycho-emotional impairments. This indicates neuroscience nurses have to be competent in a wide shade of care, from live-threatening situations, via rehabilitation to palliative care in chronic and long term situations.

  6. Mission Statement The EANN mission is to support and enhance the development of competence in neuroscience nursing by improving the exchange of information between neuroscience nurses in Europe.
