Work Tasks from Aceh Meeting Outputs for September Meeting • Report on GCF design recommendations for subnational REDD frameworks for review and approval at GCF September 2010 meeting to be finalized as GCF Report for COP 16 • Continued work on public financing opportunities for GCF member states and provinces • Building GCF knowledge database • Communications strategy & enhancement of stakeholder involvement in GCF process – explore more formal mechanisms for stakeholder input into GCF process GOVERNORS’ CLIMATE AND FOREST TASKFORCE | 2010

Task 1: GCF Report on Subnational REDD Frameworks • Issues for consideration include • REDD crediting options • State-level accounting • Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification • Nesting project level activities with state level performance • Safeguards – FPIC; Protection of rights and interests; benefit sharing • Models for multi-stakeholder governance • Timeline • Draft report for review & comment by September 2010 GCF meeting • Final report for presentation at COP 16 GOVERNORS’ CLIMATE AND FOREST TASKFORCE | 2010
