Despite winning in straight sets, the defending champions didn't have an easy ride and the game was evenly matched throughout. Serbia had to show their tenacity, fighting back in the first two sets to ultimately secure the win. Brazil put up a good fight, but their spirit was eventually broken in the third set, with Serbia taking control early on and clinching the victory. After winning the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, Serbian captain Tijana Boskovic was at a loss for words. She expressed her amazement at her team's performance, stating that they had achieved an undefeated record throughout the tournament, and she was proud to be a part of such an energetic and supportive team. Boskovic also thanked her family and all the fans who supported them. She contributed immensely to her team's score with 24 points, making her a pivotal figure in the tournament. Serbia's victory in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship was not just down to their impressive attacking prowess, but also their brilliant defensive effort. Middle blocker Jovana Stevanovic led the way with an impressive 15 blocks in the final against Brazil, contributing 11 points overall, including four from blocks. Her stellar performance played a significant role in swinging the match in the reigning champions' favor.

  3. Qatar National Volleyball Team Qualifies to Paris 2024 Qualifiers On March 13th, it was announced that Qatar's men's national volleyball team had qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers. This marks the first time that a Qatari team has participated in such qualifiers. Qatar's men's team achieved this ranking through recent positive results, surpassing teams such as China, Korea, Australia, Portugal, Croatia, Spain, and Slovakia. As per the QNA news, Qatar's men’s national volleyball team took part in both the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Slovenia and Poland, as well as the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup held in Seoul, South Korea. Two teams from each pool will earn a spot in the multi-sport event scheduled from July 27 to August 11, 2024.
