  1. LONDON’S PARKS London Parksaren’t just a part of the territorythatisquiet and attractive and whereyou can go for breaks butthey are also a part of people’s lives. In factLondonersspendmost of their free time there, theylikesitting in the sun or lying on the grasswhen the weatherisgood and having pic-nic under the trees. These open spaces cover hundreds of the area of the territory of London. The mostimportantparks are Hyde Park, KengsintonGardens, Regent’s Park and St. James Park.   2. HYDE PARK Hyde Park is the mostfamous of London’sparks. Itiscrossed by the Serpentine, a lakewhereyou can go swimming and boating. Here on Christmas daythereis a swimmingcompetitionwhoseparticipants are over 60. In the South of the Serpentine lakethereis a stonefountain in memory of princess Diana. In Hyde park thereis a famous corner, near Marble Arch, called the Speaker’sCorner. Itis a placewhereeverybody can express hisopinionsaloud. A number of people alwaysgatheraround the speakers for curiosity. Close to Hyde Park there are KensigtonGardens, particularlydear to childrenbecausethereis the statue of” Peter Pan”. In Hyde Park rock concerts are played and the RollingStoneshavealsoplayedhere.

  3. St. JAMES PARK St. James park is the oldest of London’s royalparks and itisnear Buckingham Palace and herethereis a lakethatcontainstwoislands: the duckisland and the west island. Along the road thatleads from Buckinghanpalace to the Parliament, the Bridcagewalk, you can admire the beauty of the park and itsmonumentssuchas: queen Anne’s gate surrounded by the palace of the aristocracy; the William Barracks, the barracks of he Royalguards. Next to the park thereis “ the Mall”, the road for allparades and officialceremonies.

  4. REGENT’S PARK Regent’s Park, one of London royalparks, iscertainlyone of the symbols of the British capital. Located in the northern part of Central London. The parkhasan area ofabouttwosquarekilometres. Itisrenownedforits beautiful rose gardens. You can cross Regent’s Park alongside beautiful fountains, ponds and well-keptparks???. In the park thereis an open air theatrewhereyou can watchsummer performances of the twomostfamousplays by William Shakespeare, thatis: « A midsummernight’sdream « and «The twelfth night «.Thereisalso a large area dedicated to sportingactivites, aswellasbars and restaurants. Regent’s Park iaalsofamous for hosting the London Zoo: the oldestscientific zoo in the world, inaugurated in 1828. Over 755 differentspecies of animals are housedhere

  5. Kensington Gardens Kensington Gardens are the mostimportantroyalgardens in London. They are locatedwithinHyde Park, in its western part beyond the Serpentine lake. The gardens of Kensington werebornas private gardens of the nerby Kensington Palace. Inside Kensington Gardensthere are : the Italian Garden and itsfountains,the Round Pond ( itisused for modelingcompetition in the water ) , the ElfinOak (itis an ancientoaktrunkcarved in sculpture of gnomes, elves and fairies ) and the statue of Peter Pan. Moreover the Albert Hall isused for concerts and the Albert Memorialis a gildedsculpturethatrepresents love for culture and Queen Victoria haditbuilt to commemorate herhusband Prince Albert.
