The booklet can be collected at the end of the unit as a grade and used as a source of information for students to complete an end of unit project.

Print Slide 2-4 to make a booklet for each student.

Slide 2- Cover Page- Students can work with partners to explore the Science Text book, Time for Kids, or watch one of the animal videos online to access their prior knowledge about animals and record on the front cover in a circle map.

Slide 3-This page follows along with the Discovery Education Video on Technology Connections, Animal Groups: Beginning Classification.(the recording sheet does not start till the 2nd half of the video so you could show the first half and model how to record and then hand out recording sheets and have students record on their own) The information is also presented in the science text book in the same order and format as on the recording sheet.
