  2. Agenda • Brief description of what the physical system will look like/how it will be used • Recap of system’s functional requirements and user roles that the system is being designed to accommodate • Walk-through of transformed scenario according to user roles through prototype screens

  3. Physical View of the System Barcode scan reader Attached stylus to aide in selection making LCD Touch Screen, where user does most of the interacting with Bull’s Eye System Target™ Card swiping strip Hand-held device, can be attached to shopping cart

Functional Requirements • Users will be able to access a rich set of information about a particular clothing item (and many others related to it) without the help of store personnel (price, size availability, color availability, etc.) • Users will be able to scan a clothing item’s paper tag barcode into the Bull’s Eye hand-held device.

  5. Functional Requirements (cont’d…) • Users will be able to store/retrieve personal information about themselves (and loved ones, if given permission) to determine what they, as a shopper, “might also like…” or to see how a particular clothing item looks on their bodies (body scan feature). • If users “log-in” to the system, they will be able to view “what’s new” and “what has changed” since their last visit.

  6. Functional Requirements (cont’d) • Users will be able to store clothing items in a virtual shopping cart to refer back to as needed in their continuing search for other clothing items.

In-Depth Look at Transformed Scenario • User Roles: • Busy Shopper (specific need) • Recreational Shopper (just looking) We’ll look at how the system accommodates both of our predominate user roles through an in-depth task walk-through with prototype screens. Both user roles could either be shopping for themselves and/or for others.

  8. Walk-through – Busy Shopper Initial Screen – Shopper selects “log in” to get right into the personalized system.

  9. Walk-through – Busy Shopper Log in Instructions Screen – Shows video instructing shopper how to swipe their Target™ card to log in.

  10. Walk-through – Busy Shopper Personalized Log in Screen – Shows whose personal info shopper has access to, last login date, individual settings.

  11. Walk-through – Busy Shopper Personalized “Deals” Screen – Shows hot deals that are a “match” to loved ones (after clicking “Continue” on previous screen.

  12. Walk-through- Recreational Shopper Initial Screen – Shopper selects “scan item” to view info about an item s/he selected directly from a clothing rack.

  13. Walk-through- Recreational Shopper Scan Item Instructions Screen – Shows video instructing shopper how to scan their clothing item’s barcode.

  14. Walk-through- Recreational Shopper Scanned View of Item– Shows basic information about the item scanned, allows shopper to select various options. Shopper selects “Get Details” to retrieve additional info.

  15. Walk-through- Recreational Shopper Detail View of Item– Shows additional information about the item scanned, such as size availability, color availability, location in store, etc.
