European network of smoke-free hospital ENSH

1. European network of smoke-free hospital ENSH ENSH is a network of national networks, or as in some countries national coordination of regional networks, such as Spain.

2. ENSH is a sub-network of ENSP • ENSH is member of the European network for smoking prevention (ENSP) co-coordination: • International network of women against tobacco (INWAT) • European network of young people against tobacco (ENYPAT) • European network of smoke-free hospital (ENSH) • And others Informal networks. • ENSH conduct specific actions, particularly to interact with European directive elaboration. Recently ENSP organised a conference on smoking in the workplace in Berlin.

5. European ENSH coordination • Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, the main French hospital organisation including 42 hospitals and 70 000 healthcare workers coordinated the European Network ENSH 2001. • AP-HP provided important administrative support to the ENSH 2001 project, in addition the EU financial support. • The Medical and European Sections of AP-HP were also involved. • This French organization is independent of the French Smoke-free Hospital Network, who is an independent NGO supported by AP-HP and a non profit mutual MNH. http://aphp.fr
