  2. Learning Intention We are learning to increase our awareness of all the components of effective coaching during a learning focused conversation.

  3. Success Criteria We will know we are successful when we include • an invitation, • a positive presupposition, • plural forms, • exploratory language, • listening skills, • wait time and • remain in correct stage of concern in our learning focused conversations.

  4. Looks Like • As you watch the video clip, listen for effective coaching skills, and if the coach changes stance.

  5. Looks Like • As you watch the video clip, listen for elements of coaching. • Is the coach able to help with a limited background knowledge of the situation?

  6. Learning Focused Conversation Working with a partner, have a learning focused conversation based on a current concern that you would like to go back to your building to address this month. Use the planning or reflective templates from Mentoring Matter on page 42 and 43 Switch roles when signaled
