2. Learning Intention We are learning to increase our awareness of all the components of effective coaching during a learning focused conversation. We are learning to utilize effective coaching skills in order to have a learning focused conversation in order to promote equity in all math classrooms.We are learning to utilize effective coaching skills in order to have a learning focused conversation in order to promote equity in all math classrooms.

3. Success Criteria We will know we are successful when we include an invitation, a positive presupposition, plural forms, exploratory language, listening skills, wait time and remain in correct stage of concern in our learning focused conversations.

4. Looks Like As you watch the video clip, listen for effective coaching skills, and if the coach changes stance. When coaching, better alignment to level of CBAM When teacher asked questions, coach shifts to consult or collaborate Everyone coachable, up to coach to maintain the coaching stance. 6. Learning Focused Conversation Working with a partner, have a learning focused conversation based on a current concern that you would like to go back to your building to address this month. Use the planning or reflective templates from Mentoring Matter on page 42 and 43 Switch roles when signaled
