Designation on the semiconductor relay On the semiconductor relay, the three most important type plate details are indicated: Designation on the semiconductor relay • Type currentThis is a rough classification of the relay and indicates the tipical capability • DIN EN 60947-4-3These indications result from the product standard, a current for the usage category AC- 51 is indicated with the thereto necessary heat sink value • UL/CSA detailsThese indications result from the UL/CSA approval, a current for „resistive load only“ is indicated with the thereto necessary heat sink value

Designation on the semiconductor relay Different parameters of type plate details : Designation on the semiconductor relay Type current DIN EN 60947 UL/CSA Ambient temperature - 40 °C 50°C usage category - AC51 „Resistive Load“ The details are identical to the values of the approval/ type test certificate! All further details and additional indications are listed in catalogues or the Datasheets.

  6. Designation in data sheets Additionally further indications for the mounting on typical heat sinks and / or for other usage categories are available. Designation in data sheets For the dimensioning of the heat sink, i.e. for the practical application, the characteristic curves of the solid-state switching device are consulted. Having regard to another parameter, „minimum thickness of the heat sink’s mounting surface“, better values than indicated by the product standard can be achieved!
