Czech Republic - history • rich, complicated, and ancient • 4th century B.C. – Celts • End of the 5th and beginning of the 6th century - arrival of Slavs • First unified „state“ - 7th century – Frankish merchant Samo (Greater Moravian Empire) • 1346-1378 - the peak in the prestige and power of the kingdom of Bohemia during the reign of Charles IV
