Under the framework of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction, and in agreement with CRED, the ISDR secretariat, has used and is using EM-DAT data and information to elaborate statistics, tables and graphics, useful for awareness raising, publications and dissemination of information. Some examples are : • Living with Risk and other publication • Recent WDCR • Reports, media information • Country profiles

  3. III Framework for Action 2005-2015 This collaboration is also contributing to the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action Extract of Chapter IV. Implementation and follow-up E. para 33. (f) asks the ISDR system, in particular, to the members of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Disaster Reduction and the secretariat to “stimulate the exchange, compilation, analysis, summary and dissemination of best practices, lessons learned, available technologies and programmes, to support disaster risk reduction in its capacity as an international information clearinghouse; maintaining a global information platform on disaster risk reduction and a web-based register “portfolio” of disaster risk reduction programmes and initiatives implemented by States and through regional and international partnerships”.
