  1. John 14:15-20NIV 15”If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever– 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”

  2. WHO IS THE Holy Spirit?

  8. John 7: 37-39“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” 39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.

  9. John 4:13-14Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

  10. The Holy Spirit is the drink that satisfies!

  14. It is the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives…

  17. It is the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives… It is the filling of God’s spirit within you… It is us opening ourselves upto the spirit of the living God… …that will leave us feeling satisfied!

  18. Ephesians 5:18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

  19. What are we filling up on?

  20. “God, dwell within me and let me release control to the Holy Spirit thatI might be led and guided by it.”

  21. Galatians 5:22-23But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control.

  22. The fruit of the spirit is what comes out of the life of a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit.

  23. John 20: 21-22Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

  24. The Holy Spirit is the breath of spiritual life given to each Christian.

  25. We can’t physically live without breathing.

  29. Would we be more blessed by and through the Holy Spirit when we give God more creditfor the work of theHoly Spirit in our lives?

  30. John 3:6-8Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spiritgives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘Youmust be born again.’ 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

  31. And now… a demonstration

  32. The Holy Spirit is a wind that blows in the believer that is an unseen force that moves us.

  33. “… guide, guard and direct us”

  34. “… guide, guard and direct us towards doing what’s right in your eyes…”

  35. Galatians 5:22-23But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control.

  36. How?

  37. The Holy Spirit is a wind that works in the lives of Christians to move us towards acts of goodness – acts that have the fruit of the Spirit written all over them.

  38. Acts 2:3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

  39. Genesis 15:17When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.

  40. Hebrews 12:29Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29for our “God is a consuming fire.”

  41. The Holy Spirit is the fireof God’s passion within us.

  42. It’s the power to enable and embolden us to step out confidently and be bold for the Lord.

  43. “Lord, fill our church with thefire of the Holy Spirit”

  44. Not speaking in tongues…Just speaking, period!

  45. The Holy Spirit is the fireof God’s purity.
