  2. Introduction Born: January 30th, 1882 Died: January 6th 1919 at Segmore Hill. Elected: November 8th 1904 Interesting Fact: The Teddy Bear was named after him!

  3. Early Life Family: Teddy's first wife Alice was very stubborn she would not agree to be his wife until they graduated from college. His father was a business man not very loving. Teddy`s mother took care of home.

  4. Childhood Teddy's childhood was very hard because he got asthma a lot sometimes he couldn’t even breath. He was home schooled because of his poor health. As a child Teddy was called Tee die. He went to college for 3 years. He went to Harvard University. 3 years later he went to Columbia University in New York.

  5. Family Life Teddy was married to Alice Lee , they married in 1880, they met in college at Harvard university. Teddy had 5 kids Kermit, Ethel, Archibald, Quentin, and Theodore Jr. For some reason Teddy's nickname was Bull moose.

  6. The Election Teddy chose Charles Fairbanks as his vice president. Charles ran against Alton Parker. Roosevelt got 2.5 million votes.

  7. Significant Event Roosevelt was nearly sick all of the time some times he had to go in a carriage to help him breathe . This was important because he could have died very easily.

  8. Life accomplishments Teddy was the first American to win the Nobel Prize. Teddy Roosevelt got into Harvard for natural studies.
