NotesMaterial needed for this activity:• Paper, colored markers, scissors and glue.• square-shaped sheets of paper• Find the menu of activities on the first slide.• Select an activity by clicking on dark red laces Characters Slide 2: Tell sts they are going to learn about some Christmas characters; click to move on to the next slide;

Slide 3: Click to show the first character (Santa Claus); ask for group repetition twice; click to move on to the next character; repeat this procedure until the six of them can be seen on the slide; At this point, exploit the slide by asking questions such as ‘What colour is the elf’, ‘What coulour is the snowman?’, What colour is the is the reindeer’s nose?’, etc; click to move on to the next slide; Slide 8: Use this slide to review the charachters with students before moving onto the next activity.

  3. Game Slide 10: Ask sts to look at the slide and answer questions like “How many elfs are there?”. Ask as many questions as you feel like, but be careful not to overkill. Slide 11: Large groups: divide sts into groups of 3-4 students. One student should run and touch the character you call out loud, always following the colour + character combination, e.g. “Run and touch the green elf!” The student who first touches the character you’ve called scores a point for his/her team. Small groups: Same procedure as above, but you may want to have sts working individually rather than in groups.

  4. Project Slide 12: Sts will make an origami Christmas tree. Click on the “@” and follow the instructions of a website.
