Who is MASIT? • 54 national IT industry companies and (MAJ 2006) • IT experts council with 48 independent members • Represents over 80% of domestic IT market output • Host of many local and regional events - Oversight organization for annual regional SEITA conference (SEE IT associations) • Member of WITSA

MASIT Vision The Macedonian Association of Information Technology (MASIT), founded in 2000 as a joint effort of the 15 domestic leading IT companies, is the premier Macedonian association representing the information technology industry. MASIT to be a driving force of a competitive Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry, an innovation-driven economy, and contributor to the nation’s prosperity.

MASIT Mission • To reach thousands of IT decision-makers – as a member of WITSA and becoming a member of the EICTA • To promote MASIT and Macedonian IT Industry Cluster • Promotion of the positive changes in Macedonia and the IT industry in the most respectable business magazines (Financial Times, Wall Street Journal , Economist …..) • Investment promotion agency support –IDC/EITO methodology IT industry Survey ( October 2005 – April 2006 , update June 2006) • International promotion of the accomplishments of the Macedonian IT companies in the area of IT s/w and services • To facilitate the IT cluster through the public-private-partnership • To exchange knowledge and ideas - to participate in the events related to the IT industry • To facilitate business relationships - to foster the international cooperation with other associations • To participate in the definition of the ICT regulatory framework, to create the national IT standards

MASIT Focus 2006 • Public Policy: advocating policies that advance the industry’s growth and development • Trade: facilitating IT exports and investment in IT products and services in particular IT sectors (IDC Survey) • Inter-Cluster Cooperation: strengthening Macedonian IT cluster (Government, Academia, Financial Institutions) • Networking: providing members with access to their peers in nearly every geographic region in the world ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE 5 COMMITTEES & IT EXPERTS COUNCIL
