Department of Sport & Recreation Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) Financial assistance to community groups and local government authorities to develop basic infrastructure for sport and recreation. The program aims to increase participation in sport and recreation, with an emphasis on physical activity, through rational development of sustainable, good quality, well-designed and well-utilised facilities.

Department of Sport & Recreation Projects Considered for CSRFF Upgrade and additions to existing facilities where they will lead to an increase in physical activity or more rational use of facilities. Construction of new facilities to meet sport and recreation needs. New or replacement of synthetic surfaces. Floodlighting projects.

  3. Department of Sport & Recreation Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund Small Grants – Projects between $7,500-$150,000. Annual Grants – Projects between $150,000 and $500,000 Forward Planning Grants – Projects that exceed $500,000 DSR can contribute up to 1/3 of the total cost of the project.

Summerfunding round – July to October Approved - November $ Money – December (spent by 15th June 2015) Annual and Forward Planning Grant ($150K+) One round per year between June and December Approved - November $ Money – December (spent within financial year received) Please be advised that these are opening times and that applications need to go to the local government meeting in time to be sent to DSR for the end of March and end of August (small grants) and end of September for annual and forward planning

Please be advised that these are opening times and that applications need to go to the local government meeting in time to be sent to DSR for the end of March and end of August (small grants) and end of September for annual and forward planning CSRFF and the Shire of Esperance As far as the Shire of Esperance is concerned to receive support for your Clubs CSRFF application council need to endorse your project FIRST. This is so council can include the necessary funds for a successful application into its budget. So to maximise your club or community groups opportunities for council support we would encourage that you get your application into the Shire of Esperance as inredon the next slides. The earlier you submit your application the better.

CSRFF TIMELINE Annual and Forward Planning Round(Annual Grants – Projects between $150,000 and $500,000)(Forward Planning Grants – Projects that exceed $500,000) June or Before 2014 – Shire of Esperance – Recommend - Club and Community Group applications should be submitted to the Shire of Esperance before the end of the finacial year to ensure council endorsement. (In Budget) 3rd June 2014 – Round opens 30th  August 2014 -  Club and Community Group applications must be submitted to the Shire of Esperance by the end of August 2014 to ensure council endorsement. 30th September 2014 – Applications to be lodged at your regional Department of Sport and Recreation office. Approved - November Money – December (spent within financial year received)

CSRFF TIMELINE Small Grant Rounds ( Projects between $7,500-$150,000) June or Before 2014 - Shire of Esperance – Recommend - Club and Community Group applications should be submitted to the Shire of Esperance by the beginning of June or earlier in 2014 to ensure council endorsement. (In Budget) 2nd July 2014 – Rounds open 31st July 2014 - Club and Community Group applications must be submitted to the Shire of Esperance by the end of July to ensure Council endorsement. 30th August 2014 - Applications to be lodged at your regional Department of Sport and Recreation office. Approved - November $ Money – December (spent by 15th June 2015)
