Notes: • Masks – there are some without a name  • Those that have paid art fees will get their masks back • Remember if you pay your fee you earn 50 extra credit points • Grades • There are still a few things to grade on the desk, will do by this week • Any other concerns about grades or masks

  6. Why? • Learn how to draw human figure using proportions • Able to see different type of human figure ratios • Apply art elements and principles of design to our work (balance, texture, line, shape, color, etc.) • Which will all to help us become better artists!

  8. Lecture Time • Eyes forward at the scene or on Mrs. Lyon • No sharpening pencils at this time • Listen, no talking • 10-12 minutes • Taking notes when the slide says to do so, Mrs. Lyon will prompt you for this • Notes will help you answer the exit pass

Assignment: #5Figure Drawing • Silhouette = using proportions of human body • Use a solid color including black and white • Background tells a story where the silhouette are, 2 extra credit points say zing • Story written about the silhouettes and where they are, how they got to this location, and what they are going to do next. • Self-critique (online) • Total points 60(50 for project, 10 for critique)

Studio Time • Start assignment, paper upfront, pencils in back • iPODS/MP3 players can be out, you must be working or your music device will be taken from you for the rest of class. • Keep volume down • No cursing or putting each other down, if so -1 participation point for each violation • Questions?
