  • Get into groups of four.

  • Each member in the group will be assigned a different question to look up.

  • Students will act as a team to present their ideas to the class

  • It’s the students responsibility to follow through with the roles for each question that they are assigned

    • Keeping track of time, making sure group is focused.

  • Group Member #2: Recorder

    • Taking notes and writing down answers for the group

  • Group Member #3: Researcher

    • Going to the sources to find answers

  • Group Member #4: Presenter

    • Present material to the class.

  • The teacher will read the first book in class to make the students aware of the subject

  • Have students refresh their memories on a worksheet with plot definitions, setting, and themes.

  • Show the personal interview of J.K. Rowling

  • Have students present different kinds of themes to the class

  • Have students act out scenes from the novels.


  • At the end of the lesson the groups will be evaluated by a presentation each group will construct.

  • Teamwork, participation, and determination will be evaluated.
