  3. Flooding in Cockermouth • Where is Cockermouth? • What is the main industry? • What are the buildings made of? • How do YOU think they cope with flooding?

  4. Flooding in Pakistan • Where is Pakistan? • What is the main industry? • What are the buildings made of? • How do YOU think they cope with flooding?

  5. Flooding in the news • READ the newspaper article. • The read it again and highlight the effects on: • People • Buildings • Wildlife and plants • THEN compare the article about Cockermouth to the one on Pakistan. • Are there many differences? • If so what are they? Why?

  6. Why is water important?

  7. Is water valued more in other parts of the world?
