  3. Orientation • There are over 70 different projects that kids in 3rd-12th grade can be enrolled in 4-H program. These projects range from Livestock to Foods to Photography. There is literally a project for everyone.

  6. Directions • Think about something that interests you in your life whether it be animals, pictures, clothing, or crafts and then look through the minute list of projects. Choose one and answer the questions that follow.

  36. 4-H is the only federally authorized youth serving organization. • It is also the largest youth organization in the country.

  37. 4-H General Info. Continued. . . • Volunteer-led organization • Reaches youth through a variety of ways in both rural and urban settings. • 4-H programs are hands-on age appropriate and university-based.

  38. 4-H helps youth improve their.. self confidence and learn subject matter Develop important skills including…..leadership citizenship, communication, and decision making that can be applied over a lifetime.

  39. 4-H is for anyone in 3rd-12th grade • There are only minimal fees for each club and these are to cover general expenses. • Joining is so easy! Just contact your local extension service!

  40. Young people like 4-H because they have fun learning with new and old friends in clubs and classrooms, at meetings, social activities, tours, trips, camps, and fairs. They learn about themselves and experience new challenges!

  41. Application • To summarize what you have learned. . .4-H is a great organization for kids in 3rd-12th grade. It teaches kids life lessons that will change their lives. It is the nation’s largest youth organization and teaches lifelong skills including leadership, communication, and decision making!
