  1. WHOLESALE DEBT MARKETNVS BROKERAGE PVT. LTD. DAILY UPDATES –19thDec,2013 • The Nifty advanced 110.75 points to close at 6,277.40. The Sensexrose 371.10points to 21,079.72. Indian bourses opened tad higher amid weak global cues. Indices traded choppy and lackluster in early trade. IT, Oil and Auto stocks witnessed gain while FMCG and Capital Goods stocks remained under pressure. • In the domestic market, gold for December delivery on MCX was at 28,650 rupees per 10 grams at 12:18 GMT.Gold rose on Thursday, extending gains after the US Federal Reserve announced plans to trim its aggressive bond-buying program, but sought to temper the long-awaited move by suggesting its key interest rate would stay lower for even longer than previously promised. • Brent crude fell by 0.47 points to $111 a barrel on Thursday but was heading for its second weekly gain in three, buoyed by Libyan supply cuts and a rosy outlook for fuel demand in the United States, the world's largest oil consumer. In the United States, demand for petroleum products rose to the highest November level in six years, data from the American Petroleum Institute showed on Thursday. A larger than expected drawdown in crude stockpiles last week also underpinned prices. • The dollar was hoisted to a more than five-year high against the yen and also appreciated against the basket of other currencies this morning after the Federal Reserve started to dial back its massive bond-buying stimulus. Partially convertible rupee depreciated to 62.09 per dollar • 10Y G-Sec rates were volatile and were trading at a yield of • LAF Auction Result Bids received and accepted amount was Rs. 403.99 bn.
