Starter Using the dictionary decide if the places below are masculine, feminine or plural and write them in the correct place in the grid. 1. tiendas 2. banco 3. plaza 4. piscina 5. iglesia 6. calles 7. supermercados 8. estación de servicio 9. servicios 10. mercado 11. parque 12. ayuntamiento Grammar rule: When a (to) is followed by el, them merge to form al but a + la, a + los, a + las remain separate. e.g. Voy al acuario – I go to the aquarium Voy a la playa – I go to the beach Extension: Using your knowledge of the tenses write the following sentences: 1. I went to the town hall 2. I went to the church 3. I’m going to go to the shops
