  1. STAFF/SA Ongoing (cross-)calibration activities Y. De Conchy, O. Alexandrova, C. Lacombe, M. Maksimovic 10th CAA Cross-Calibration meeting L'Observatoire de Paris, Paris, 2-4 November 2009

  2. Comparisons of the ground/onboard sensitivies & noise levels for STAFF Important for the measurement of the turbulence spectra in the SW at the tipical electron scales

  3. A dedicated publication will be prepared & submitted for STAFF (NCW et al.) • Need to be done for EFW • Could be one topic of a futur Cluster workshop • This is an important activity in view of the future mission such as Solar Orbiter or Cross-Scale

  4. Comparisons between STAFF-SA and EFW Comparions of the Power Spectral Densities (PSD) at higher frequency : in burst mode Ex <F>~70 Hz a c b EFW sensitivity

  5. a b @ high signal : Always good agreement on the spectral shape, possible shift @ low signal : Both level & spectral shape different, EFW sensitivity flattening c

  6. Initial Comparisons between SW/WHI & WBD Note : Only 3 mins of data Extensive Comparisons between STAFF & WHISPER Work done by Yvonne de Conchy

  7. C1@ 2244 Hz Factor ~2 C1@ 2244 Hz Good agreement

  8. C1@ 2244 Hz C1@ 2828 Hz C1@ 3563 Hz C1 with increasing frequency Period 1 SA sensitivity level

  9. C1@ 2244 Hz C1@ 2828 Hz C1@ 3563 Hz C1 with increasing frequency Period 2

  10. C1@ 2424 Hz C2@ 2424 Hz C4@ 2424 Hz C3@ 2424 Hz All S/C Period 1

  11. C1@ 2424 Hz C2@ 2424 Hz C4@ 2424 Hz C3@ 2424 Hz All S/C Period 2 Period 2

  12. C1@ 3563 Hz C2@ 3563 Hz C4@ 3563 Hz C3@ 3563 Hz SA sensitivity level All S/C Period 1

  13. C1@ 3563 Hz C2@ 3563 Hz C4@ 3563 Hz C3@ 3563 Hz All S/C Period 2

  14. Conclusions • Ongoing comparisons of the ground/onboard magnetic sensitivies & noise levels for STAFF. • The overall agreement between SA & WHI is good • The SA sensitivity around 10-9 (mV2/m2/Hz) at high frequency. • Ondrej Santolik to perform intercomparisons between WBD & SA & WHISPER. • When and how to be satisfied with intercomparisons activities ?

  15. Wake effect in Magnetosphere (CC9-A1-7 to STAFF/EFW)
