Why revise these rules • 2017 Act 134 made changes to Chapter 293 Non-Ferrous Mining statute • Need to update rules to be consistent with statutes • Rules were adopted in 1979 and 1982 and are in need of updating • Governor approved Scope Statement on August 22, 2018 AGENDA ITEM #2.C.2., ANN KIPPER (External Services Deputy Administrator)
