3. Miss Redle’s Great-Grandfather • He owned a General Store • General Stores were stores people went to buy things at. Today we go to a grocery store

4. Miss Redle’s Great-Grandfather • When my great-grandfather was younger he suffered from a childhood hip fracture. • This left him with a limp when he walked and he was only 5ft tall

5. Miss Redle’s Great-Grandfather • There was a Crow Indian named Curley • In the battle of Little Big Horn, Curley was injured • From his injuries he was left with a limp when he walked

Miss Redle’s Great-Grandfather • Curley and other members of his tribe would go into my Great-Grandfather’s store • When Curley would come into the store he would emphasis his limp and they would call for my Great-Grandfather • Curley liked my Great-Grandfather because he wanted to trade with him and not just give him something. • The Indians called my Great-Grandfather “man who limps”
