  6. Parenting Helicopter parent: hover over their children; want to know and have a say in every aspect of child’s life; pays very close attention

  7. Parenting Authoritative parents: children participate in decisions made it their lives; discussions occur; kids make decisions, but parents have right to veto

  8. Example A 5-year-old wants more snack after school. Her mother tells her no. The child asks, “Why?” And the mother simply says, “Because I said so.” Which parenting style is this?
